The Periodic Table Project

The Periodic table project. For this project, we learned about the periodic table and the elements; like the atomic number and mass and why they are grouped the way they are. After learning that, we had to pick a topic and create our own periodic table based on the information from the topic, or what it has. Some people (that I know of) did author names, tanks, candy, books, etc. My group chose to do TV shows. The way this works is that the atomic mass would be the amount of days between the first aired episode to the episode listed. Each column/family is their own TV show, and each "element" is an episode. The atomic number is the episode number and the element symbol is the first letter of both the first and last word to the episode name.

This table shows a lot of creativity and work. When putting together the entire table, we struggled to find numbers and data that would work for our specific topic and we had to create a lot of different drafts. A few times, we would find numbers that would work for one category, only to not match up with another category. The most important thing that was shown during this project is the overall detail. Each show took a lot of research and a lot of planning to make sure it matched up. In the end, I'm proud of my groups work and love the idea of our entire periodic table.
