The Exploravision project. This project was about identifying a problem in the world, like poverty or clean water, and then creating a solution to said problem. My group and I chose the clean water situation that is happening in many developing countries. We based our solution of a design called the "Hippo Roller", which is a large, rollable container that is used on rough terrain for water transportation. We went a step ahead and transformed the Hippo Roller into what we call the "OptiDrop". The OptiDrop is a Hippo Roller with a built in UV light through the container and is powered by kinetic energy (movement). The idea is to use the UV light to filter the water during transportation, allowing people in those countries easier access to clean water.

This project was some of my best work because it required so much thinking, research, and effort. To create and build the prototype, we had to research multiple technologies that could prove helpful in our build. My team and constructed the design and ordered all the pieces used to build. Putting it together and making sure it works was the hardest part and required the most effort, while my teammates did a lot of the build because it was so hard to transport.
