One of our novels that we read this year was To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee. Over the course of the novel, we wrote various essays and did a few projects in order to better understand the characters and the books. One thing I can say is that the book can be difficult to understand at times, so it's best to ask if you don't understand something. Below is what I consider my best essay and a project that I'm proud of doing that includes the rest of the classes work.

Essays and a TKM Website

The TKM Website

For To Kill a Mockingbird, we did a long project where we had to create a website that could help future classes better understand the book. As "editor", I was in charge of creating the website, with the help of a couple other classmates. The project was to have the entire class contribute by giving me an article, crossword, quiz, etc. I then had to check over everyone's work before uploading it to the website. This project took a while because designing it was hard and then having to check over everyone's work took time. Although in the end I'm proud of how it turned out and the work that was put into it.

I learned from this project design and what it may be like to be in charge of a project or group of people. I learned what it was like to grade the class and have to check over everyone's entries before uploading them. The hardest part was reading through the entries because it took a lot of patience and I couldn't upload them until the mistakes were fixed and things seemed as best as they could.
