Falling Star

   The Maycomb Mockingbirds have had an unfortunate turn of events when star quarterback Jem Finch fractured his arm while in his last game against Colchester Chestnuts. As the linemen in front of him fell one by one he was forced to run but was tackled and his whole body weight along with the other 2 defencive players slammed on his arm. In an interview he said “I Don’t want my team to fail. I’ll get back in the game as soon as I can pass again!” His mood was glum and to add an insult to injury the Chestnuts won the game by one point in a field goal. Atticus Finch added “No one likes to be let down but I can’t imagine what he’s going through. I wish I could help but if I try I might only make his arm worse”. We all hope he can make a speedy recovery so we can continue or very successful season and onward to the national playoffs.
