FIRST SNOWFALL SINCE 1885!

By: Giselle Swaiss

In 1885 the Maycomb County had a it’s first ever snowfall.  That year, Autumn turned to Winter. Ever since 1885, we have had two weeks of the coldest weather. That winter of 1885, old Mrs. Radley died, but her death hardly caused a ripple. On the Rosetta Stone, it said that when children disobey their parents, smoked cigarettes, and made war on each other, the seasons would change. We are currently having our second snowfall since 1885, and no one is enjoying it.

Everyone in Maycomb is wondering which child caused this ruckus. The last snowfall occurred because Arthur Radley and his friends smoked and ended up going to this prison school. Mr. Radley didn’t want Arthur to go to that prison school so he took Arthur back home and he never came out ever again. Him and his friends caused the two weeks of freezing weather and snow.

According to the Rosetta Stone, this snowfall should be over in about two weeks. Once this snowfall is over, the normal weather we had before the snowfall will be back. Schools will be canceled due to the issue we are having with the weather here in Maycomb.
